Allow It

Allow It

Allow that vulnerability you feel
That may shake your surface or core.
Don’t try to hide it, don’t try to mask it,
Just don’t bother any more.

It is the prisoner inside wishing to come out,
Let them shake and tremble.
Once they break out, they will be free
And will dissolve and disassemble.

Everyone feels it, the vulnerable sense,
The fear of being destroyed.
Or of losing something that is held so dear,
Or of disappearing into the void.

If you cover it up, the shakiness stays,
Lurking under your layers.
Let it cry out and shake the place up,
Let the silence be your prayer.
